Why I hate Shish K bobs to this day.

The American Army base Vinh Long did not have an Officer’s Mess but it did have an Officer’s Club. Most officers ate breakfast at one of the unit mess halls on post bu most at their evening meal at The Officer’s Club. Officer living quarters for the 175th Assault Helicopter Company first and second platoon of transport pilots backed up to the Officer’s club. Since both platoon’s overlooked the Officer’s Club entrances, the company was in an ideal position to see events unfold.
