  • Republic Square in Georgetown to Taylor (104 miles)

    Starting Location: Republic Square in Georgetown at the intersection of I-35 north frontage road (exit 262 north or south), Texas 158, and Williams Drive.

    Finish Meeting Point: is Louis Mueller in Taylor, Texas--founded in 1949 – Brisket, ribs, sausage, pork loin, turkey and sides.

    The two-hour route will include state, Farm to Market, Ranch to Market, County Roads and unpaved roads.  Cars built low to the ground or with stiff suspensions might have trouble at railroad crossings or dirt roads. One ¾ stretch is large gravel.

  • SouthPark Mall in Austin to Blanco, Texas (75.8 Miles)

    Starting Location: Southpark Shopping Mall, Waterloo Icehouse

    Finish: Blanco, Texas

    The two-hour route will include state, Farm to Market, Ranch to Market, County Roads, and low water bridges. You will visit such interesting sites as the exotic animals at the Texas Disposal Land Fill and the communities of Camp Ben McCulloch, Driftwood, Wimberley, and Blanco as well as the Devil’s Backbone.

    Starting Location: Republic Square in Georgetown at the intersection of I-35 north frontage road (exit 262 north or south), Texas 158, and Williams Drive.

One ¾ stretch is large gravel. You will pass through the communities of Bartlett, Rogers, and Little River Academy along with the picturesque Summers Mill.

  • “Y” (Intersection of TX71 and US 290) in Oak Hill to Fredericksburg (93.5 miles)

    Starting Location: The “Y” in Oak Hill is the intersection of Texas 71 and US 290 in southwest Austin. Finish: Mamacita’s Restaurant in Fredericksburg. This route is over state and county roads through the communities of Wimberley, Blanco, and Luckenbach before arriving in Fredericksburg. Even though you cross 16 cattle guards most cars should have no issues.

  • Republic Square in Georgetown to Belton (50.7 miles)

    Starting Location: Republic Square in Georgetown at the intersection of I-35 north frontage road (exit 262 north or south), Texas 158, and Williams Drive

    Finish: Brody’s Steakhouse on the I-35 South access road south of Belton.

    This route is over interstate, federal, state and city streets. There are no gravel stretches or low water crossings. Towns of interest along the way are Jarell, Salado, and Belton. You will have two scenic overlooks at Lake Belton and Stillhouse Hollow Lake.

  • Moontower Road Rally, City of Austin (29.8 miles)

    Starting Location: 51st and N. Lamar

    Finish: Moontower Saloon at 10212 Manchaca Road

    This is run on city of Austin Streets but two people complained of the numerous speed bumps along the route (hey, it is city streets). You will see all of the remaining 14 Moontowers (originally 31), each 165 foot tall, erected in 1894 to protect the city from any more serial killers like the one that stalked Austin in 1884 and 1885. This killer, 10 years before Jack the Ripper, killed seven women and one man and was  never caught.

    Starting Location: J. Lorraine’s Ghosts Town, 14219 Littig Road, Manor, Texas

    Finish: J. Lorraine’s Ghosts Town, 14219 Littig Road, Manor, Texas

    This route goes through lovely central Texas and over several pictographic bridges. The route is on pave roads in Bastrop and Travis Counties. You will visit such communities as Sayersville, Kimbro, Littig, Young’s Prairie, and Hogeye.
