175th Outlaw Company Yearbook – 1971

The 175th Outlaws were stationed at Vinh Long, Republic of Vietnam, 1966-1972, to support the Vietnamese army in the IV Corps delta along the Mekong River. Outlaws was the call for the two transport platoons and the gun platoon were the Mavericks. The support platoon were the Road Runners. In 1971 the Mavericks had upgraded from Charlie Model gunships to Cobras. The 175th Assault Helicopter Company (AHC), at this time, was really a conglomeration of several units as people rotated home without replacements, part of the winding down.
