My Lawn Philosophy

When I found out that my lawn had Take-All-Root-Rot (TARR), a fatal grass root fungus, I was told that there is no cure. However, if millions of humans now live in Nagasaki and Hiroshima where atomic bombs were detonated, I thought that I could recover my lawn. My research led me the Soil Food Web philosophy of Elaine Ingham. I also came to the understanding that there are good and bad fungi. Micorrhizal fungi are a mainstay of healthy soil and should be able to overcome the TARR. This article gives information on how I came to this conclusion.

Each lawn owner must develop a set of rules for their own lawns based on subsoil, climate, type of grass, and past lawn history.
