Based on my reading over the past three years, these are my suggestions for caring for a St Augustine in western Travis County.  This area of the county has a thin soil over limestone. The limestone promotes alkaline conditions which help promote Take-All-Root-R0t. I have read about Elaine Ingram and believe in her Soil Food Web philosophy.  My adaption of her philosophy has helped me save my front yard although I must admit that the back yard has not recovered as rapidly. I wonder if the three dogs and multiple oak trees are causing issues there.
